Big Horn County reports 4 new COVID-19 cases, doubling its total

Big Horn County has four new positive COVID-19 cases Thursday, according to Big Horn County officials.

These four new cases would bring the total number of coronavirus cases in Big Horn County to eight. Six of those cases are active. The county also has seven pending tests.

A Big Horn County official confirmed the new cases to Q2 News Thursday night. The county then posted its newest testing results on its COVID-19 response Facebook page.

These new cases bring Montana's total COVID-19 cases to 466. As of Thursday night, they have not been added to the state's COVID-19 database.

On Monday, the Big Horn County Health authorities confirmed the county’s fourth case, a woman in her 20’s.

In response, the mayor of Lodge Grass, Quincy Dabney, ordered the town back under lockdown.

The Crow tribe, which covers wide swaths of Big Horn County, extended i ts stay-at-home order Wednesday to June 15.
