Another COVID death reported at Butte long-term care facility

Butte’s Continental Care & Rehabilitation long-term care facility has seen another death due to COVID-19, the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department reported Monday.

No details were released about the person who died. It is the 26th COVID-related death in Butte-Silver Bow, 24 of which have been in connection with long-term care and assisted living facilities.

The county added 419 positive cases for the week of Nov. 14 - 20, down from 493 the week prior.

The Health Department says it reported an average of 88 cases per day last week, with 251 cases per 100,000 population.

Butte-Silver Bow has the highest number of cases per 100,000 population among Montana’s most populous counties, including Cascade at 172 cases per 100,000; Yellowstone at 106 cases; Missoula at 81; Lewis & Clark at 111; Gallatin at 135; Flathead at 128; and Ravalli at 177.
