Local health officials are reporting an additional COVID-19 case in northwest Montana.
The Lincoln County Health Department reports they were notified on Friday that an individual tested positive for COVID-19.
"The individual is a with direct contact of a known positive from out of state. The health department is investigating for possible contacts," the department states in a social media post.
Lincoln County has had a total of nine confirmed COVID-19 cases, two of which are active. The first COVID-19 related death in Montana was reported in Lincoln County in March.
Local health officials note that people who have not been contacted in regards to a COVID-19 case are not considered to be a direct contact.
