A ninth COVID-19 related death has been confirmed in the Mission Valley.
"We are deeply saddened to announce that a ninth Lake County resident has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection," a social media post from Lake County Public Health.
The case was confirmed in a female in her 50s. No further information is being released.
"The health department sends our deepest condolences to their family, friends and loved ones," the statement concluded.
Lake County Public Health reported a total of 60 new cases were reported over the weekend, bringing the number of coronavirus cases to date to 1,008.
There are currently 245 active cases along with 755 recoveries, according to the Monday Lake County Public Health update.
