BOZEMAN — Busy summer road construction and the start of school has the city of Bozeman reminding you to slow down and drive with caution in residential areas and near school zone.

The city of Bozeman teamed up with the city of Seattle to distribute free yard signs for residents who hope to encourage safety from their front yard.

The yard signs are a friendly traffic calming reminder for drivers to slow down.

The city has been looking for ways to promote safe and cautious driving in neighborhoods, and hopes the fun designs will be eye-catching while still delivering the message.

“So the idea is not to be admonishing people, but instead to create a culture of safer driving, watching out for one another, slowing down for kids and people on bikes,” said Tanya Andreasen, Neighborhood Coordinator for the city of Bozeman.

You can pick up your free yard sign at the City Shops Complex in Bozeman.
