BOZEMAN, Mont. – A space east of downtown Bozeman now has a plan behind it.
This week, a developer filed plans for a new three-story commercial building in Bozeman Commons.
The 45,000-square-foot building, to be built by Locati Architects, is already planning on having several businesses move in, including D.A. Davidson.
The rest is still in the works, with architects saying the space will be flexible and could house retail businesses, offices, and possibly a restaurant or cafe.
The Downtown Bozeman Partnership says this building could add onto the gateway into downtown and bring more traffic into the heart of the city.
“The upcoming Downtown Plan really emphasizes that although downtown is the heart and soul of our thriving city, these other growing commercial districts are actually a good thing for downtown,” said Chris Naumann, executive director of the Downtown Bozeman Partnership. “We need to explore how we can have synergies with mid-town and the Cannery.”
The ultimate construction dates of the new building are yet to be decided.
