BOZEMAN: LOW: 52°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 90°. A dry weather pattern will continue for Bozeman tonight into Wednesday. Temperatures will be cooling nicely overnight with the very dry air but will quickly heat up during the day Wednesday. Wildfire smoke will continue to settle in over the region through the rest of the week.
BUTTE: LOW: 42°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 88°. Hot dry and hazy will be the basic forecast for Butte through the rest of the week. The very dry air will cool quickly at night but a rapid warm up is likely Wednesday. Wildfire smoke will continue to keep our air quality rating in the "moderate" range.
DILLON: LOW: 49°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 89°. Dillon and Beaverhead county will also be hot dry and hazy through the end of the week. Nice and cool at night but very hot during the day Wednesday. Side effects of this pattern will be lingering wildfire smoke.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 38°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 82°. Another chilly night setting up for West Yellowstone falling down into the upper 30s. Wednesday starts a warming trend for you so look for warming highs and lows through the end of the week. Wildfire smoke will linger over southern Gallatin County through the weekend.

Hottest temperatures of the summer season are likely Thursday and Friday. In fact, record highs could be set Friday afternoon if temperatures reach the mid to upper 90s. With the buildup of heat and lower humidity fire danger will likely increase over SW Montana through the weekend. A cold front will pass through on Saturday and increasing surface winds could be enough for a "Red Flag Warning" to be issued this weekend. Use extra caution with work and play especially in the late afternoon hours for the rest of the week and weekend.
