Smoke, dry thunderstorms, and wind could increase fire risk

A few dry thunderstorms could spark some fires today.

City by City Forecast:

BOZEMAN:  HIGH THURSDAY: 88°. LOW: 53° A few afternoon showers are certainly a possibility across the area. Be careful with fire activities because breezy conditions combined dry thunderstorms could spark wildfires. Chance of Precipitation: 20%

BUTTE:  HIGH THURSDAY: 85°. LOW: 46° Breezy, smoky, and very warm today. Be careful outside with more smoke settling in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms should stay off to the SE today. Chance of Precipitation: 20%

DILLON:  HIGH THURSDAY: 88°. LOW: 49° A few showers and thunderstorms today around some of the mountain ranges. Watch out for fires because hot breezy conditions will be increasing the fire danger. Chance of Precipitation: 20%

WEST YELLOWSTONE:  HIGH THURSDAY 79°. LOW: 41° Cool start will quickly get us back to the upper 70s today. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are certainly a possibility today. Chance of Precipitation: 40%


 NEXT WEEK 

Showers and thunderstorms are possible through this weekend with a couple of very weak disturbances flowing through the jet stream. This will keep the fire danger high, however a front will pass through the area today which will keep us in the 80s tomorrow and 70s by the weekend.
