COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A police officer was shot overnight and was critically hurt in a shootout in Colorado Springs.
A suspect was also shot but it’s not clear how badly they were hurt.
The shootout took place near the intersection of Boulder Street and Swope Avenue, a few blocks away from the U.S. Olympic Training Center.
Police asked that people avoid the area while an investigation takes place.
