BOZEMAN – Bozeman’s Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) has a new tool on its website for volunteers to sign up for projects.

The new software has been added to the home page of HRDC’s website and is displayed as a volunteer button. That button will take you to a website listing all of the projects run by HRDC that need volunteers. Some of these include the Warming Center, Senior Nutrition Program and the RSVP program.

Last year, Bozeman citizens punched in 119,649 volunteer hours on different HRDC service projects. The need for more volunteer help continues to grow as the years go by.

"It is absolutely essential because we wouldn’t be able to operate all the different programs and services that we can provide to our customers without that support and that figure is equivalent to 58 full-time employees, and our programs just don’t have the resources to be able to hire staff to do the work that many of the volunteers are doing,” said HRDC Senior Programs Department Director Margaret Mason.
