BOZEMAN – The Bozeman Symphony is not performing at the Festival of the Fourth this year.
For years the Gallatin Empire Lions Club has sponsored the firework display at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. Usually, the symphony performs a quick show and then plays music to correspond with the show. This year they will not be performing according to the Lions Club because one of the symphony’s biggest sponsors fell through. The Lazy Owl String Band will perform before the show at 9 p.m. but will not play throughout the show.
"Oh we are very excited, I think this gonna be a really fun time. We are gonna get people dancing a little bit, maybe more than the symphony might, and yeah, should be a pretty exciting time,” said Lazy Owl String Band member Jared Betz.
