BOZEMAN- Not a fan of outdoor winter sports? A local couple is hoping to give you another choice to stay active when temperatures drop.

Montana Indoor Sports, a new indoor sporting arena, will be opening this winter on Jackrabbit Lane.

Jeff and Vanessa Stevens are former Montana State University Athletes who have been working on bringing an indoor sporting facility to Gallatin County for the past three years.

They are not exactly sure when the grand opening will be but they are hoping for the facility to be ready at some point this winter.

"We feel like there is a great opportunity to, not only keep as many people as possible, as active as possible throughout the entire calendar year but also to increase overall participation and that is at all levels and all ages and skill levels,” said Stevens.

Come rain or shine, people will be able to gear up and play all different types of sports including baseball, volleyball, basketball, soccer and even lacrosse.

Stevens said the building will house indoor batting cages, courts, and fields for people of all ages and skill levels. League play is available or as well as drop-in activities.

Stevens believes no matter your age or skill level, anyone will have fun. That why he wants to make sure Montana Indoor Sports offers birthday parties, kids camps, and child care.
