Raymond Christiaens of Cut Bank died in an accident on Saturday in Flathead County.
Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says that Christiaens died at Kalispell Regional Medical Center on Saturday after an accident that happened at Christiaens’ cabin in Bigfork on Echo Cabin Loop Road.
According to the Sheriff, Flathead County dispatch received a call at around 4 p.m. on Saturday from a neighbor who saw Christiaens pinned between the bucket and the frame of a Bobcat skid-steer.
Sheriff Curry says that Christiaens, 55 years old, had apparently been working on the skidster with the bucket up in the air when the bucket hydraulics failed, causing the bucket to pin Christiaens between the bucket and the frame.
Resuscitation attempts were successful in establishing a pulse, but Christiaens was pronounced dead when he arrived at the hospital.
