BOZEMAN: LOW: 46°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 73°. Quiet afternoon and evening for Bozeman with partly cloudy skies, light winds and warm temperatures. Wednesday will be a different story! Stronger thunderstorms and a few severe thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening. Some storms could produce damaging hail and damaging winds along with frequent lightning and very heavy rainfall.
BUTTE: LOW: 44°; HIGH TUESDAY: 69°. Storm chances Tuesday afternoon are low but watch out for a stray rumble. Generally warm and dry through sunset. Wednesday a cold front will pass through and ahead of this front stronger afternoon thunderstorms are likely with an isolated chance for a severe thunderstorm over Butte.
DILLON: LOW: 44°; HIGH WEDNESDAY: 71°. Mostly dry for Dillon Tuesday afternoon but a few nearby mountain rumbles are possible. Wednesday will be a very active day with afternoon thunderstorms and possibly a few severe thunderstorms over Dillon and Beaverhead county. Some storms could produce damaging hail and damaging winds along with frequent lightning and heavy rain.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 35°; HIGH TUESDAY: 66°. Keep an eye out for a few isolated showers and possibly a rumble of thunder as well for West Yellowstone into Yellowstone National Park Tuesday. Wednesday a stronger cold front will bring scattered showers and stronger thunderstorms you way and there is a slight chance a few storms could be severe.

Next 2 days (Wednesday & Thursday) will be very active across Montana. Wednesday is the day for severe storms to build over SW Montana especially east of the divide. Some storms could produce 1" or greater diameter hail and/or wind gusts up to or over 58 mph. Both can produce property damage. Locally heavy rainfall is possible with these storms and flash flooding is a concern Wednesday afternoon. Thursday the severe weather threat should shift over into Eastern counties of Montana but there is still a good chance we will see hit and miss afternoon thunderstorms across SW Montana.
