Bozeman will see a new concert/event venue on North 7th Ave, with construction set to start later this summer.

The 1,500 capacity concert venue and event center will be located in Midtown Bozeman on the corner of No. 7th and West Short St., directly adjacent to the future RSVP Motel, formerly the Rainbow Motel.

Montana-based promoter Logjam Presents announced the plans.

“We are very excited to expand into the Bozeman market. Logjam Presents has been looking at Bozeman for a few years, but was waiting for the right location,” said Nick Checota, owner of Logjam Presents. “We feel North 7th Avenue is a great, centrally located spot that will allow many of our customers to walk and bike to concerts.”

Logjam Presents is a venue operator and promoter of entertainment events and private functions. The company owns the 1,500 capacity Wilma, the 4,500 capacity KettleHouse Amphitheater and the 600 capacity Top Hat Lounge – all three venues located in greater Missoula.

Checota believes that Bozeman provides a great opportunity for a new concert venue and event center.  “Currently Bozeman does not have an adequate facility that can accommodate artists who perform for crowds of 500 to 2,000 people, causing many artists to route past Bozeman,” he said. “As a result, many Bozeman residents travel to Missoula to attend concerts. The new venue will allow Bozeman concert goers to see their favorite artists in their own community.”

“Logjam Presents takes a more personal approach than the large, national promoters,” said Checota. “We believe that concert goers should experience music in a great venue, with great sound and production, and exceptional service. Logjam is a Montana-based, independent and privately held company with the sole focus on the concert goer and artist experience.”

Checota anticipates that the new venue will host approximately 80 concerts per year, routing many of the same artists that play the Wilma and Top Hat Lounge, two Missoula venues managed by Logjam Presents.

In addition to concerts, promoters say the new venue will provide Bozeman with a unique facility for private functions, such as wedding receptions, corporate parties, and community events.

The new venue is slated to start construction late Summer and has a target completion of late spring-early summer of 2019.
