BOZEMAN – Bozeman’s former neighborhood program coordinator appeared in court Friday on felony embezzlement charges.

Jessica Johnson is charged with two different offenses. The first, for taking more than $2,000 from the Downtown Business Partnership and putting it into her own account when she worked there in 2017.

The second charge is for theft against the city. Court documents say Johnson used credit cards to pay for personal charges including an Amazon Prime membership, around $3,000 in gift cards, and restaurant charges. She pleaded not guilty to both charges.

Johnson is currently in Mississippi with family. The court ordered she not leave unless she is traveling to Montana. Her next court date is June 27.
