Do you have unused or old prescription drugs sitting in your medicine cabinet?

According to the 2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.4 million Americans abused controlled prescription drugs.

This study showed that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will be held in Bozeman on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m at the Gallatin County Law & Justice Center, located on So. 16th Ave.

The event will provide an opportunity for anyone with unused prescription drugs to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.

The event is sponsored by Alcohol & Drug Services of Gallatin County, Bozeman Elks Lodge #463, Bozeman Police Department, Community Coalition on Drug Awareness, Missouri River Drug Task Force, and the Montana Elks Drug Awareness Program.
