BOZEMAN — Montana State University and the Downtown Bozeman Partnership will co-host the tenth annual Bobcat Fest on Main from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, on Main Street in downtown Bozeman.
The street will be closed to traffic from Tracy Avenue to Bozeman Avenue during the event, which will include live music, free sausages and hamburgers, free commemorative 2018 Bobcat Fest T-shirts, as well as other giveaways, raffles and prizes such as “senior send-off” glasses and beverage tickets.
The community event is a cooperative effort with involvement and donations from about 40 businesses and organizations, according to Ellie Staley, program director at the Downtown Bozeman Association. It is designed to help thank MSU for being an essential part of the Bozeman community. Bobcat Fest is free and open to the public and will not be canceled due to weather. In the case of rain, live music may be canceled.
Those needing a ride from MSU to the event can catch Streamline’s orange, blue or red lines from the Strand Union Building to get to the event by 5 p.m. The orange line leaves MSU at 4:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m., the blue line leaves MSU at 4:21 p.m. and 4:51 p.m. and the red line leaves at 4:19 p.m. and 4:49 p.m. There will be a bus parked at the intersection of Main Street and Tracy Avenue at 7:30 p.m. to take participants back to campus, where it will resume the normal late-night schedule.
