HELENA – Kaleb Taylor pleaded not guilty to five charges Wednesday, including two counts of deliberate homicide and one count each of tampering with evidence and burglary.

Taylor is accused of entering his parents’ home on March 18 with another man and killing David and Charla Taylor.

Prosecutors said that prior to the killings, the 21-year-old Taylor admitted to his parents that he and others burglarized their Lincoln area business earlier in March.

His trial has been scheduled for Oct. 1.

Lewis and Clark County Attorney Leo Gallagher said he hasn’t decided whether or not to seek the death penalty.
