BILLINGS — A Billings man was charged Monday with the rape of a 10-year-old girl in 2017.
Robert Allan McChesney, 48, made his initial appearance in Yellowstone County Justice Court on one count of sexual intercourse without consent.
Police were called to a home in the Billings Heights in September for a reported sexual assault.
A woman said her daughter was sexually assaulted while staying the night elsewhere.
The 10-year-old victim told officers that McChesney walked into the room while she was sleeping and touched her under her clothes.
McChesney allegedly penetrated the victim.
McChesney denied touching the victim but noted she was wearing “very tight” shorts, according to court documents.
He was not in custody at the time of his initial court appearance on Monday.
