Bozeman ranks among top solar power producing cities

Posted

The city of Bozeman is emerging as a top producer of solar power, according to a new report.

On average, Bozeman produces 70 watts of electricity per person from solar power, and according to Shining Cities 2018, this was good enough to rank the city fifth of all smaller U.S. communities and first in Montana for 2017.

The city hopes that more solar power will help the city reach its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to ten percent below 2008 levels by the year 2025.
