BOZEMAN – Runway resurfacing at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport may hinder some travelers this spring.
The construction will take place between 12:30 in the afternoon and 11:00 p.m.
According to officials, the airport may lose 100 passengers a day during the runway renovation which may cost Southwest Montana a million dollars.
Airlines have known about the project for around a year and have scheduled flights around the construction timeframe on larger aircraft to accommodate more passengers.
"For the most part, most people will not even notice that the flights didn’t exist, but there will obviously be some people that were hoping to travel at 5 and 6 o’clock In the evening time frame that will have to adjust their times to arrive here either before 12:30 in the afternoon or arrive here after 11 pm." Airport director, Brian Sprenger said.
Officials expect to have the project done by May 13th
