LEWISTOWN — One Health is renovating a space in downtown Lewistown for a new clinic and also some apartments. One Health merged with Central Montana Community Health Center in 2018. Now they have outgrown their current location at 406 1st Street South, which prompted the purchase of the Chokecherry Lane building more than a year ago. The new clinic will be located at 311 West Main Street.

The building has three stories. The first will be used as an all-in-one clinic. The second and third floors will be renovated into 18 apartments in partnership with Homeward to create low-income housing.

“We operate in multiple communities. We’re in eight different communities across the state and in any of our locations we have the opportunity in pre-existing economic development activity or community revitalization efforts we will avail ourselves of that if we can and so this building really did provide us that opportunity,” said One Health CEO David Mark.

“We know that access to care and access to services. especially in our smaller commmunities is difficult and so we try to reduce and or remove some of those barriers by having an integrated care model where folks can come to one location and access all of those services they might need,” said Kent Doughty, One Health Vice President of Development.

Applying the integrated care model to Lewistown means that One Health plans to access the need in Lewistown to add program like dental, pharmaceutical, or addiction treatment to the new clinic.

Construction on the new facility will begin in March. One Health hopes to open the new clinic within 12 to 14 months of the start of renovations.

As construction nears completion One Health will be adding available job postings for the new facility to the One Health website as well as on LinkedIn.
