Suzan N. Conrad, 67, of Big Sky, MT, died July 30, 2019 from cancer.
Sue was born in 1952 in Richmond, VA, to the late Lucille and Robert N. Newbill. She was a graduate of Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs, received a BS in Nursing from Colorado University, and gained a Masters of Theological Studies from Seattle University. She married Paul D. Conrad, MD, in 1979 and recently celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary. She had three children. Sue was a resident of Mercer Island, WA, for 27 years and has lived in Big Sky for the past two years.
Sue was a passionate mother, gifted cook, enthusiastic gardener, and loved her dogs. She took an active role in RCIA and the social justice program, Just Faith, at St. Louise Parish in Bellevue, WA. She was a liturgist at both St Louise Parish and at St. Joseph’s Catholic Mission in Big Sky.
Sue was pre-deceased by her middle child, Luke. She is survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Paul N. and Michele; her two grandchildren, Rowan and Penelope; and her sister and brother, Michele Kingman and Bob Newbill.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Big Sky Chapel, Big Sky, MT, at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, August 12.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (bestfriends.org), Utah, where Sue volunteered and NPH USA (nphusa.org), which supports disadvantaged children in Central and South America.
