Obituary: Carol Jeane Nicholson

Carol Jeane Nicholson, 76, of Bozeman, Montana passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was born October 23, 1944 in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Claud and Dorothy (Pabst) Spradley. She grew up in Hebron, Nebraska and graduated from Hebron High School. Later, she would live in Sylmar, California and Belleville, Kansas before eventually moving to Bozeman.

She enjoyed her work at Sav-On Drug, later working for JCPenney and WalMart. She was active in after-school programs and Mothers of Preschoolers at First United Methodist Church. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Carol loved spending time with her family, particularly attending Elvis impersonator shows with her sisters. She also enjoyed attending Pow Wows and gambling in Deadwood was a favorite pastime.

She had the best personality and sense of humor; she made a lasting impression on everybody she met. She was the best mom and grammy, and loved all her many nieces and nephews, and her pup, Presley. She will be missed by so many. You are forever in our hearts, Crazy Carol.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud and Dorothy; brothers, John, Russell, and Larry; sisters, Fern, Donita, Janice, and June.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda (Daren) Favaro and Barbara (Brian) Schneider; son, Brian (Lori) Sibert; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Hope Brennan.

Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
