Catonsville, MD (WBAL ) — A 12-year-old girl was killed and her pregnant aunt was critically injured in a hit-and-run Friday night in Catonsville, Baltimore County police said.
Police said officers were called around 9:21 p.m. to North Rolling Road at Johnnycake Road, where a car struck both pedestrians as they crossed North Rolling Road. Police said the vehicle made no attempt to stop and continued south on North Rolling Road.

The 32-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was in stable condition Saturday morning, police said. The condition of her pregnancy was unknown.
The 12-year-old girl, Maria Popal, was taken to Sinai Hospital, where she died. Police said she had recently moved to the area and was not enrolled in school.
Police said the vehicle is possibly a 1990-91 Honda Accord that may be dark in color. The car should have damage to the front passenger side.
