Atlanta (WGCL) — A woman accused of stealing a backpack from an Atlanta Legends football player is charged with felony theft.

Tiara Lamm spoke with CBS46 News and wants to clear her name. Lamm admitted to taking a $500 backpack belonging to Jonathan ‘Bugg’ Howard.

Surveillance video shows Lamm and Howard cleaning out their cars at the Wash Me Fast car wash in Milton. You then see, Howard get in his car and drive off. A black bag is left on the ground.

Lamm then grabs the bag and puts it in her car.

“ I made a mistake I touched a bag, that did not belong to me I’m aware of that but I didn’t have any intent to steal,” said Lamm.

She told CBS46 she was hoping to return the bag and see Howard again, even attempting to find him on social media.

“He was flirting with me, it just appeared as though I could give him the bag back and then maybe it could continue on to something else,” said Lamm.

The police report says the two only had a brief exchange. It also said Lamm took the $700 iPad, $200 ear buds and playbook inside the bag.

Lamm told CBS46, she did find a playbook but many of those listed items were not inside the bag when she found it.

“I just wish you would tell the truth, tell the truth there was none of that in the bag and you know this,” said Lamm.

CBS46 has reached out Howard, and is waiting for a response.
