KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMBC) — Jaxson Proctor has won Halloween before it’s even arrived.
Jaxson, a 6-year-old first-grader from Liberty, has become a viral sensation with his Halloween costume that is a spot-on recreation of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
“The putting together his look was pretty simple,” Timeka Proctor, Jaxson’s mother, said.
“The headband was really hard to find. It’s sold out everywhere. A friend and I had to put our heads together and create it. He lost the first headband, so we had to buy the materials and make a new one.”
His mother’s Facebook post and his uncle’s tweet caught Mahomes’ attention on Monday. Mahomes retweeted Jaxson’s uncle’s tweet, and it’s gone viral with more than 11,000 likes.
Going viral runs in Proctor’s family.
“He’s following his big brother’s footsteps and going viral this Halloween,” Timeka Proctor said. “Two years ago, big brother Jayden went as Obama, and Michelle Obama herself reposted him. Last year, his little sister went as Lavender from ‘Matilda,’ and Kiami Davel reposted her.”
Jaxson’s siblings we were national hits, but Jaxson is fired up for going viral in Chiefs Kingdom.
“Jaxson is super excited that Patrick was able to see his and retweet him, too,” Timeka Proctor said.
