EAST POINT, GA (WGCL) — East Point Police are searching for a male suspect who allegedly robbed a bank Monday afternoon.
Police responded to the Regions Bank in the 2800 block of Main Street at 12:30 p.m. The suspect, a black male, entered a bank and handed teller a note stating his daughter had been kidnapped and that he needed $40,000.
The teller complied, however, the amount of money the suspect got away with is not yet known.
Police also believe he may be the same suspect involved in a PNC bank robbery in Union City that happened earlier that day.
