Mobile, AL (WALA) — A pedestrian who was startled by a dog that caused him to jump into traffic was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Mobile Police said that at about 11 a.m. Monday officers responded to the area of Pleasant Valley Road at Kenny Street after a male victim was struck by a vehicle.
The victim was walking on the sidewalk southbound along Pleasant Valley Road when a dog charged a fence and caused him to react by jumping into the flow of traffic, police said.
Police said the victim was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Pleasant Valley Road.
