COLLINSVILLE, Mo (KMOV) — A Collinsville man is searching for the person who hit and totaled his car early Sunday morning.
Jacob Mueller lives along Keebler Avenue near Chapel Road. He said he woke up Sunday morning to find his car with extensive damaged outside of his home. Mueller said his neighbor heard the crash around 6 a.m.
“The axel is just completely destroyed, the back driver’s side tire is sideways pretty much, the panel is missing, shattered glass,” Mueller says.
Mueller said he’s had the Mercury Sable for more than seven years. He was planning to tow the car behind a U-Haul when he moves to Washington for a new job next week.
“The damage is so severe that I can’t even open the driver’s side of it,” he said.
He believes the suspect’s running board was torn off during the crash. He found one that appeared to be from a Ford F-150 in his yard Sunday morning.
“No card was left, no one knocked on the door nothing,” he said.
