GRAND FORKS, N.D. (WDAY) — A 21-year-old man from Grand Forks is severly hurt after he rode a moving train.
The Grand Forks Police Department says the man jumped on the train near downtown Grand Forks and tried to jump off by the Housing Authority, near Dyke Avenue.
When he tried to get off, he was subsequently run over by the train. He suffered severe injuries to his limbs.
Altru Paramedics and the Grand Forks Fire Department responded to the scene on the 1500 block of Dyke Avenue, where he was found outside of a home.
The man, who is not being identified, was taken to Altru Hospital.
Police say he sustained serious injuries, but his current prognosis or condition is unknown.
