LAMAR, AR (KFSM) — The mayor of Lamar was arrested and released from the Newton County jail on Thursday on charges out of the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission office, according to jail officials.
Jerry Lee Boen, 49, was arrested at 10:14 a.m. on charges out of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission office, according to officials with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office. He was released an hour and a half later.
The charges were not specified.
5NEWS reached out to the mayor for a comment but was told he was not in today and was unavailable for comment.
