MESA, AZ (KNXV) — A hotel maintenance man in Mesa has been arrested after police say he sexually abused a female guest.
Mesa police say that Sunday morning a woman contacted them saying she was sexually touched by a man, at the Ramada Inn, near U.S. 60 and Dobson Road.
The hotel guest reported to police that the maintenance man, 50-year-old Marcos Hernandez Perez, touched her private parts over her pants.
Police interviewed Perez who allegedly told them that he had been talking with the woman over the past few days.
Police say Perez told them he decided to reach out and touch the victim in the attempt to encourage a romantic relationship.
Perez, who admitted to being in the U.S. illegally, was arrested for sexual abuse.
