77-year-old man accused of pointing gun at driver during road rage incident

    Troy, Michigan (WXYZ) — A 77-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a road rage incident in Troy that occurred on Aug. 28.

Police say on eastbound Big Beaver Road, a man was driving his white 2016 Audi A3 and was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a black 2016 Ford Escape.

As the victim stopped for a traffic signal, the suspect pulled alongside his vehicle and pointed a gun at him.

Police say the victim followed the suspect as they continued eastbound, eventually entering Sterling Heights. Sterling Heights police officers initiated a traffic stop on the suspect northbound on Ryan Road.

A handgun was recovered from the driver.

Nicolo Amico admitted to removing the handgun from his holster and pointing it at the driver of the Audi, police say.

Amico has been charged with Felonious Assault with a Handgun.
