Cane carved from 1500-year-old tree stolen out of vehicle

    Beaverton, OR (KPTV) — Police are asking the public’s help locating a hand-carved cane that was stolen out of a vehicle last week.

Beaverton police officers began a theft investigation on Aug. 6 after someone broke into a vehicle in the 14000 block of Southwest Teal Boulevard and stole several items.

Police said among the items stolen was a cane that was carved from a 1500-year-old tree located in northern Iran. The cane was given to the victim by her grandfather and has been passed down through her family.

Anyone who has seen the cane or has information about the theft is asked to call Beaverton police at 503-629-0111.
