SOUTH WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) — An 18-year-old South Windsor teen was arrested after he posted video of himself setting fire to a shed used by the Boy Scouts.

Police said they charged Benjamin Saxon with third-degree arson.

The fire happened at a property on Clark Street on July 4.

While there was no equipment in the shed, police said the Scouts used it out of convenience whenever they were on the property.

In the video, which was also shared with police, Saxon could be seen describing his actions while lighter fluid was sprayed on the shed. He then set it on fire, police said.

It didn’t take long for them to identify Saxon as the suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued and served on Monday morning.

Saxon was held on a $25,000 and scheduled to face a judge in Manchester later in the day.
