The glory days of ’90s pop are back, because Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys just dropped a collaboration. The female pop sensation and iconic boy band came together to record a new song, “Matches,” which appears on the reissue of the deluxe version of Spears’ 2016 album, “Glory.”

“‘Matches’ featuring my friends @backstreetboys is out now!!!!” the pop princess wrote in a Dec. 10 tweet, including links to the track and the album. “I’m so excited to hear what you think about our song together!!!! You can also listen to Glory deluxe everywhere now!!!!”

The Backstreet Boys also promoted the collaboration on Twitter, writing, “What a GLORIOUS day it is…we’ve been asked about the possibility of a collab like this for the past 20 years and today is the day!! #BritneyxBackstreet is finally here! #Matches is out now on @britneyspears’ Glory Deluxe”

The Backstreet Boys’ last released a new album, “DNA,” in 2019. The band has more new music planned for 2021.

“The next thing on our list is to finally have a Christmas album, which we’ve never done to this day,” band member AJ McLean told HollywoodLife. “We’re still talking about it, trying to find out how we’re going to make it happen for next year, but we’re talking about songs now. Next year, the next thing you’ll hear as a group will be a Christmas album.”

On Dec. 2, Spears celebrated her 39th birthday. In honor of the occasion, Billboard took a look back at her 20 biggest hits throughout her long career:
