BOZEMAN – Strong westerly flow aloft will continue through the rest of this week into the upcoming weekend. This will keep temperatures running slightly above normal but there is also ample moisture embedded in the flow.

The best chance for scattered snow showers will be along the MT/ID state line over the next 5 to 7 days. Occasional snow is possible for most mountain passes in SW Montana over the next 7 days and brief snow flurries could hit the lower valley floor. Look for minor wintry travel impacts with this unsettled pattern.

Temperatures in SW Montana will continue to be mild and should run around 5 to 10 degrees above normal this week into next week. Warm enough to melt most minor snow accumulations down in the lower valleys in SW Montana.

If you plan on traveling into northern Idaho and most of Washington state there will be moderate to heavy mountain snow impacting travel on I-90 and Spokane and Seattle will see moderate to heavy rainfall now through the weekend.
