BOZEMAN – Over the next 2 weeks numerous pacific storms will pass through the Pacific NW into the Northern Rockies.
The active weather will produce a wide variety of weather hazards across Montana. Each storm system will bring periods of snow, heavy at times over most mountain ranges, and travel impacts for most mountain passes. Valley snow is possible off-and-on starting Tuesday evening through Saturday.
Another weather hazard will be stronger surface winds and for high wind prone areas, especially east of the divide, wind gusts could reach or exceed 60 mph. The Rocky mountain front and adjacent plains, the Upper Yellowstone around Livingston will be two areas of greatest concern. Other regions like Whitehall, Ennis, Norris Hill, Three Forks, and Townsend could see gusts over 30 mph at times or stronger this week into next week.
