BOZEMAN – Snow squalls continued Monday across SW and western Montana. Areas of snow, blowing snow and cold will impact travel conditions through the early evening hours Monday. Snow accumulations should be light; however, visibility will be greatly reduced as this snow is a fine powder and easily blown around from passing vehicles and locally windy areas.

As the moisture diminishes into Tuesday cold Arctic air will continue to dig deeper into SW Montana. Forecast lows will get colder throughout the rest of the week and into the upcoming weekend.

The coldest morning lows for SW Montana will be Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with most areas falling between -15° to -30° below zero. Wind chills will be extremely cold at times especially during the early morning hours for the rest of the week.

Forecast models show this cold air sticking around at least through next weekend and possibly slowly retreating around February 15th.
