Increasing snow later this week

BOZEMAN – NW flow aloft will continue to produce areas of light snow between Cut Bank to Billings this evening. Most of this moisture is downstream from SW Montana and there is only a slight chance for a few isolated mountain snow showers tonight locally.

We should be between storms Tuesday with near normal temperatures.

A return of unsettled weather will begin Wednesday along the MT/ID state line and roll across most of Montana Thursday into Friday.

A cold front will pass through Thursday with off and on snow showers and gusty winds. Travel impacts are likely mostly for mountain passes but areas of light valley snow are possible and could produce icy conditions Thursday into Friday.

Temperatures will stay near normal this week but once a High-pressure ridge builds into the region early next week look for colder highs and lows.
