BOZEMAN - The National Weather Service continues a Fire Weather WARNING (Red Flag Warning) for SW Montana through 8 pm tonight.
Conditions are favorable for new fire starts! Use extreme caution with all outdoor activities this afternoon and evening. Hot, dry, and windy weather is creating erratic fire behavior.
During Red Flag Warning events like today human caused fires are the greatest concern. A small accidental fire can become out-of-control in a short amount of time.
I recommend postponing all outdoor activities, work or play, in or near dry fields or forested areas until this dry cold front has passed by later tonight into Thursday morning.
