BOZEMAN – General weather pattern is extremely cold across Montana. You probably already know that but forecast temperatures continue to trend colder and it look very likely that SW Montana will fall between –15 to –30 below zero Thursday through Saturday morning.

Wind chill values will also be extremely cold during the early morning hours even with a light 3 to 5 mph breeze can send feels like temperatures down into the –20 to –30 below zero range.

Wind Chill Advisories and Wind Chill Warnings cover most Montana through the weekend. The hi-line region has seen feels like temperatures between –30 to –55 below zero.

There is a limited amount of moisture moving in from the west and occasional snow showers are possible especially Thursday into Friday.

Try and limit your exposure to the extreme cold as much as possible through the weekend. Frostbite and hypothermia are possible if you are not prepared for the elements.
