BOZEMAN – Cooler than normal temperatures are likely across Montana this weekend. Forecast highs and lows will be around 5 to 10 degrees cooler than normal but we are not expecting deep Arctic air and below zero temperatures, I repeat we are not going below zero.

A trough of Low-pressure is digging into central California and will begin to move eastward through the SW U.S. this weekend. This will bring some much-needed rain and mountain to the SW as they are hurting for moisture with extreme and exceptional drought widespread in that region.

Back here in Montana the overall weather pattern this weekend is mostly dry. Only a slight chance for a few light snow showers is possible locally Friday night into Saturday morning.
