BOZEMAN – One storm system is exiting Montana Wednesday afternoon and another is pushing into western Montana tonight into Thursday morning.
Areas along and west of I-15 will have the best chance for accumulating snow and minor travel concerns with snow covered and icy roads, poor visibility at times with falling snow and localized blowing and drifting.
Butte to Missoula could see 1″ – 3″ of snow and higher mountain passes could see 2″ or more Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon.
East of the divide across SW Montana look for light snow tonight and Thursday as well with only minor wintry travel concerns.

BUTTE: LOW: 7°; HIGH THURSDAY: 24°. Colder tonight with increasing clouds and scattered light off and on flurries through Thursday morning. Snow accumulations around 1″ – 2″ is possible. Watch for area roadways to become snow covered and icy Thursday morning.
DILLON: LOW: 9°; HIGH THURSDAY: 24°. Mostly cloudy and cold tonight with increasing light snow possible by Thursday morning. Dillon could see 1″ – 2″ of snow by noon Thursday. Watch for snow covered and icy roads by Thursday morning.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: -4°; HIGH THURSDAY: 20°. Partly cloudy and cold tonight. Slightly below zero lows but with a light 5 to 10 mph wind early Thursday morning wind chill temperatures will be much colder. There is only a slight chance for light snow over the next 24 hours.
