Active weather is on the way for the weekend.

The above on demand STORMTracker video forecast with Meteorologist Carson Vickroy will walk you through the forecast hour by hour for next 24 hours so you can have an idea of what your Friday will look like.

City by City Forecast:

BOZEMAN: LOW: 18°; HIGH FRIDAY: 33°. A few clouds around tonight will keep low temperatures in check. Lows fall into the upper teens. Highs rebound back into lower 30s with an increasing chance of snow showers later in the day. Chance of Precipitation: 20%.

BUTTE: LOW: 12°; HIGH FRIDAY: 34°. Partly cloudy skies tonight will allow temps to fall into the lower teens by tomorrow morning. Highs will only rebound into the middle 30s with a chance of snow later in the day. Chance of Precipitation: 40%

DILLON: LOW: 16°; HIGH FRIDAY: 35°. Mainly clear tonight with lows falling into the middle teens. Highs rebound back into 30s with increasing cloud cover and snow later in the day. Chance of Precipitation: 30%.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 8°; HIGH FRIDAY 30° Temps will fall into the single digits tonight with some light snow around by tomorrow afternoon. Snow intensity may increase throughout the day tomorrow. Chance of Precipitation: 40%.

Enjoy the dry weather while it lasts because that could be changing tomorrow afternoon. Not everyone will see snow this weekend with the bulk of the activity staying to our east (winter storm watches). After this weekend, our weather focus will shift to the temperatures. A deep trough in the Jetstream will allow well below average temps to spill into the region with some of the coldest temperatures we’ve seen so far this fall. Stay tuned for more updates from the KBZK and KXLF STORMTracker weather team.
