Travel problems likely with widespread snow tonight

Snow will start to impact SW Montana as early as 6 pm tonight. Our Southern counties will see the snow first.

City by City Forecast:

BOZEMAN: LOW: 27°; HIGH SATURDAY: 31°. Snow will begin between 8 and 10 pm tonight with mild temperatures in place. Snow will increase and will be heavy at times through early tomorrow afternoon. Chance of Precipitation: 90%. Snowfall through Saturday evening: 3”-6”.

BUTTE: LOW: 22°; HIGH SATURDAY: 32°.Clouds will be increasing and so will the snow after 8 pm tonight. Snow will be heavy at times especially with strong winds moving in behind a cold front after midnight tonight. We can also expect blowing snow through tomorrow morning. Chance of Precipitation: 80%. Snowfall through Saturday evening: 2”-4”.

DILLON: LOW: 23°; HIGH SATURDAY: 32°. Light snow will begin after 6 pm tonight. Snow could be moderate at times and may persist through tomorrow morning. Strong winds will result in blowing snow which might last through tomorrow afternoon. Chance of Precipitation: 70%. Snowfall through Saturday evening: 1”-3”.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: LOW: 15°; HIGH SATURDAY: 28°. On and off snow is likely through tomorrow morning. Winds will create wind chills in the teens and 20s and may result in some blowing snow. Chance of Precipitation: 80%. Snowfall through Saturday evening: 3”-6”.

Snow will fall through midafternoon Saturday for some of the region. Once we get through this storm we can expect below average temps through Monday.
