One person is dead and another injured from a two-car collision near Lame Deer, according to MHP Trooper Richard Drake.
The crash happened at 5:30 Sunday morning on US Highway 212 near mile marker 46.
According to Drake, a Chevy Suburban was traveling west on US 212 on a downhill grade when it crossed over into the eastbound lane. A Chevy 2500 pickup truck traveling east and up the grade attempted to pull over when the two vehicles collided.
The female driver of the pickup was pronounced dead on scene and the male driver of the Suburban was transported to Indian Health Services in Lame Deer before being sent to St. Vincent Hospital in Billings.
Names and ages of both drivers are unavailable at this time.
It is unclear if alcohol or speed were factors.
This is an ongoing investigation.
