UPDATE
Everyone walked away from an early Tuesday morning medical helicopter crash in Lincoln relatively uninjured.
While there are still a lot of questions about why the chopper went down, we do know it was a Life Flight helicopter based out of Missoula.

There were three people on board, none of them patients, when the chopper went down.
The helicopter crashed as it was in the process of landing to pick up a patient.
Update 10 a.m. - August 26, 2025
Life Flight Network said Tuesday there were no patients on board when the Missoula-based helicopter crashed in Lincoln, and their team reported no injuries.

"We are deeply grateful that everyone is safe and able to return home to their families," the organization wrote on social media. "We are cooperating fully with local and federal authorities as they investigate the cause of this incident."
The FAA is investigating the incident.

ORIGINAL STORY
A helicopter crashed while attempting to land in Lincoln on Tuesday.
According to a Lincoln Volunteer Fire Rescue Facebook post, a Life Flight helicopter crashed while attempting to land in the middle of town.
The post said everyone is ok.
Main Street in Lincoln was shut down while emergency crews responded. People are asked to avoid the area.
